Reviewed: Sony Walkman NWZ-E464
February 23rd, 2012
Tim If your looking for a durable, iTunes compatible non-Apple branded music player, then the Sony Walkman NWZ-E464 is what you are looking for. When we first touched the Walkman, we instantly felt a sense of durability in the device.
The Walkman has a 2″ display which shows crisp pictures and movies. Although the display is not a touch screen, we found the menus and playback easy to control with the large navigation button below the screen.
The Walkman felt comfortable in the hand, and has a nice grippy material on the back.
In the box, you will find:
- A Sony Walkman NWZ-E464
- A quick start guide
- A WM-Port proprietary USB cable
- Earphones
- A quick start guide
There is not a lot we can say about the Walkman, its just like most other music players.

Reviewed: Sony Tablet S
February 22nd, 2012
Tim
Upon opening the Sony Tablet S we were greeted by a tablet very unique in its design, it’s wedge shaped. It looks nothing like most other tablets, so at first, we thought that it would be uncomfortable, we were wrong, the Sony Tablet S is one of the most comfortable tablets we have ever used.
The Sony Tablet S is fast, sexy and comfortable. The tablets unique design is nothing to be scared of, it just fits in the hand perfectly. But comfort is not all the tablet offers.
The specs are:
- 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 mobile Processor

The Sony Tablet S in use (Credit: Sony Australia)
- 1GB of RAM
- 16 or 32GB SSD (Depending on model)
- Wireless N
- Bluetooth 2.1
- SD Memory Card Slot
- 9.4″ CapacitiveTFT Display
- Android 3.1 (The Sony website says that an Android 4.0 update will be available soon)
- Front and Back facing cameras
The Sony Tablet S has lots to offer, and is a great iPad competitor.
The display on the Sony Tablet is a 9.4-inch TFT display, and it looks awesome! It’s super clear and is extremely responsive. The tablet is great for watching movies on, and comes with the Sony Movie Unlimited app. Its also a great gaming tablet with games coming from the Android Market and Playstation Store.
The cameras on the tablet seem to be the only bad thing about this tablet. The quality of the front facing camera is awful. The front facing camera is 0.3MP (Same as the iPad 2′s front facing camera) and the rear facing camera is 5.0MP (Better than the iPad 2′s rear facing camera)
Overall, the Sony Tablet S is a really nice tablet, and is a strong competitor to Apple’s iPad 2. The tablets unique design gives it a lot of comfort and style. The tablet also is super speedy with its 1GHz processor and 1GB of RAM.
